At Village Parkway, we are blessed to impact the world for Christ through many missions opportunities. We believe that EVERY member is called upon to participate in any of these four ways:
*Pray - Join our Missions Prayer Team and receive e-mail updates about specific requests of our long-term missionaries and short-term mission teams
*Give - to the Lottie Moon Offering. This annual gift goes to support the more than 5,000 foreign missionaries sent out by the Southern Baptist Convention.
*Send - Supplies, medicines, and more are frequently collected at our church to send to the missionaries we support. You can also send church members on short-term mission trips through offerings designated in their name.
*Go - on a short-term trip to assist the missionaries in spreading the Good News of Christ.
Costa Rica - Alekcey & Judith Murillo
Doctors Alekcey and Judith Murillo are medical missionaries to the people in the Talamanca Mountains. This area is host to the Cabecar Indians, the largest indigenous group in Costa Rica, and one that retains many of its traditional customs and beliefs. In contrast to many other indigenous groups, the Cabecar do not live in villages, but prefer small family units scattered throughout an isolated region.
There are many ways Village Parkway is getting involved in the ministry in Costa Rica. We are sending members from our church to help Judith and Alekcey build an outpost to provide medical and spiritual healing to Cabecars. The team will also be traveling into the mountains to assist them with the medical clinics they conduct.
We will have opportunities to support them financially throughout the year in addition to collecting select items important to their ministry such as vitamins, soccer balls and eye glasses.

Jason & Laura
Jason, a former member of our church, Laura, and their children are transitioning to a new mission field. Pray with them as they fully understand God's will in taking them from one location to another.
Our church provides monthly support to Jason and Laura and their family through the Christar mission organization.
Asia - Will & Tina
Tina, a former member of Village Parkway, and her husband Will have followed God's call to minister to people that do not know Jesus and cling to their Buddhist traditions. The elderly are devout adherents to their traditions and the youth are apathetic towards religion and more pursuant of material wealth.
The Lord provided a new and creative way for them to enter the country where they serve and set up a small consulting business for agriculture and commercial development. While living and working among the people in Asia, they also work with University students, encouraging them to read the Bible and pursue the truth of God's Word.
Village Parkway provides monthly support of Will and Tina through Campus Crusade for Christ. We also have members who faithfully pray for them as they share prayer needs with us.
Brazil - Ron & Alana Greenwich
The Greenwiches are IMB Missionaries serving in Brazil. Last summer a team of 12 people from Village Parkway served with them for a week. Again this summer, we are sending another team. Updates to come soon. |  |
