The Village Parkway Singles Ministry is both a ministry to single adults and their families in our church and community, as well as a ministry of Christian singles to our church, our community, and our world. Our goal is to provide a place of worship, fellowship and spiritual growth for singles so that we can produce spiritual fruit in our church, community, families, and workplaces.
Fellowship: We are an active group that enjoys spending time together. Our events often include game and movie nights, bowling, skating, tubing, camping, and just about anything else wholesome one can imagine. We also encourage our single members who have children to bring their children along, so that we can minister to the entire family.
Discipleship: We meet weekly for Sunday School at 9:30am and monthly for Bible Study to delve into Scripture and discuss what it tells us about our Great Creator and about how we should live to honor Him. Our current study involves the Gospel of Mark on Sunday mornings.
Ministry: We participate as a team of singles to perform various ministries such as Single Parents' Night Out, Christmas boxes for children, and care packages for friends and loved ones in college or in the military. Recently, we spent a day with some special kids in Austin, and we are getting ready to tackle a painting project for our Children's Ministry. The past two years, we have also prepared a special banquet for our church's senior adults, where we entertain through song and games, and seek to honor those who have lived a lifetime of faithfulness to God. Our goal is to do at least one major ministry activity each quarter, and to support other church ministries, either as a group or individually.
