"Let Everything that has breath Praise the Lord! PRAISE THE LORD!" -Psalm 150:6

This worship ensemble at Village Parkway is open to all people from high school age and up. The choir sings a truly wide variety of choral literature, encompassing a scope of music from Handel's MESSIAH to modern choral composers such as Fettke, Berry, Rouse, Vader, Jernigan, and others, with a good mix of traditional anthems, contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel songs and Praise Choruses. In all of these musical selections, we seek to present songs which Praise our Lord and lead His church to worship Him. This choir is the cornerstone for special presentations at Christmas, Easter or other special worship events. Please come and add your voice to ours as we PRAISE THE LORD!
The Village Parkway Sanctuary Orchestra is integral part of the worship experience each Sunday morning at 10:45AM. Membership is open to any players who are high school age or older. Indeed, many of our players are adults who play in other community groups, or have taken up their instruments from earlier in life. There are countless people who have some background in instrumental music with instruments sitting unused in closets at home. Please join us with your instruments and talents to worship our Lord.
The Village Parkway Worship Band is a small group of believers that leads the church in musical worship during the 9:30AM service. The songs sung range from those by Kutless, Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder, Hillsong, the Newsboys, and others to contemporary arrangements of old favorites like "How Great Thou Art" and "Have Thine Own Way, Lord." The worship band is not actively seeking additional instrumentalists, but its members are available to assist with special music either vocally or instrumentally. The band is open to new ideas for enhancing the corporate worship experience but diligently seeks to preserve and promote an attitude of worship that proclaims to ourselves and others the truth about who God is and what He has done for us.

There are presently two special auditioned small ensembles active at Village Parkway:
One Voice. There are 11 voices in this ensemble, and they sing almost exclusively a cappella. The group has been active in presenting music for regular worship services as well as special events such as the annual Hanging of the Green and the annual Harvest Banquet. The ensemble has sung at special occasions away from the church, such as the National Anthem for meetings of the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce.
Harmony. This group is a special ladies ensemble that sings both a cappella and accompanied. Harmony regularly presents music for worship services and also participates in special activities such as Hanging of the Green, Easter Presentation.
This Children's Choir is designed for children 4 years old through 6th grade. This ensemble will present music occasionally for morning worship services, but always works to have positive musical experiences on a weekly basis that undergird and support the spiritual growth of each child. Some of the older members of this choir also participate in the summer Music Camp musical presentation.
Witness is the student choir and drama team of Village Parkway and sings a variety of the newest arrangements of Christian music. The group provides special music and drama during church services and special events. If you are a student in 7th through 12th grade, please come join the fun!
